KENCA-FIDIC-KAIST Training Program

As we live in the era of globalization accompanied by the development of transport and information technology, the rapidly changing environment demands us to do many urgent tasks for our survival in the fierce global competition. Among them comes the enhancement of our core competence, which is not only a key element for continuous economic development but also our responsibility for the next generation to come.

Given the role of industrial technology, which is prerequisite for the development, the Ministry of Science and Technology established the first National Plan for Engineering Enhancement for the purpose of developing national industrial infrastructure and taking initiatives in technology development through the innovation of our engineering capability.

As the first National Plan mainly deals with professional training, for the implementations of the Plan, three organizations: FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineering); KAIST Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology); and KENCA (Korea Engineering and Consulting Association), cooperated to establish the FIDIC-KAIST-KENCA Training Center within KAIST in March, 2003.

The Center offers three training courses such as Technology Management Course, Project Management Course and Top Management Course, which are designed to help participating engineers and CEOs from member companies become more competitive in the globalizing world.
