Overview



KENCA was founded in 1974 as a nonprofit association of engineering firms in accordance with the enactment of the Engineering Services Promotion Law. KENCA continuously has served for the benefits of its member firms and has played a key role in the development of Korea engineering industry.
Through constant support from professional engineers, KENCA has now grown to represent most of the consulting firms in all engineering disciplines. For the past 50 years, KENCA has made significant contributions to Korea’s economic development. Its member firms also have been committed to furthering the development of Korea’s industrial business.
Based on the recent advance of electronic communications, and the importance of international cooperation with other related organizations, KENCA will endeavor to make further contributions to the advancement of the engineering profession.
Mission
KENCA helps improve engineering capabilities; protect the rights and interests of its member firms; uphold the professional prestige of engineering; advance the profession; and promote cooperation among its member firms.
Function
KENCA's three major functions are as follows :
Coordination
As a coordinator, KENCA represents member firms to uphold their rights and interests. KENCA also forges friendship and cooperation among member firms and works to settle differences between member firms and clients
Leadership
KENCA provides the direction for government policies and for the advancement of industry affairs through analysis and prediction of changing local and global environment.
Service
KENCA offers relevant industrial information such as an e-mail push, on-line and off-line education/training internet (e.g., internship, management consulting) and supports member companies with R&D projects, foreign market survey to develop technology, skill and project management.
